Discover Leadership Training "Pays it Forward"
The Discover Leadership Training Team members believe Givers Gain and are committed to create opportunities
to share their gifts with others. Team members pay it forward in different ways: running marathons that support local and national charities, coaching teams, cycling charity events, volunteering for local community organizations, participating in and supporting their favorite charity fundraisers, and more.
In 2010 Discover Leadership Training provided 101 full scholarships to University of Houston Bauer School of
Business Undergraduate and Executive MBA Students to attend either the Beyond Excellence Leadership Program (ages 18-25) or the Executive Master Graduate Leadership Program (ages 26+). These scholarships were valued at over $327k. These amazing young men and women have gone on to increase their GPAs, secure fellowships, obtain impressive employment opportunities and give back to their communities in substantial ways. This is their NOW!
In April, 2011 a Discover Leadership Training Team “Paid it Forward” by riding in the MS150. This 150 mile bike ride from Houston to Austin provided the team with a great opportunity to support a worthy cause (National Multiple Sclerosis Society – insert link), do something healthy for both the body and the mind and to have a whole lot of fun.
In May, 2011 another Discover Leadership Training Team
participated in The Original Mud Run (fundraising event) once again benefitting the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. This event was not only fun for the participants it was also fun for the supporters, just by the before and after pictures you can use your imagination.
